  1. I forgot how perfect the Lookout crops are with ankle booties until this week. :)

    1. Also - 50% off @ Factory today. I ordered the sweater tee in black & navy (I feel like these will be GREAT layering pieces!) & the full-length wool pant in pink. If anyone is interested I'll report back on sizing when they arrive - I've found that all of the wool pants from Factory have run small here in the last few years so I ordered a size up. Anyway, I just love that color for winter & I think they'll look so good with burgundy, grey & navy! I hope they work.

    2. Taylor, I loved last year's full length wool pant and I had to order up a size as well to get them to fit right. Definitely report back!

    3. I finally took the plunge and had a seamstress hem my full length wool pants. I love the drama of the length but ankle length I can wear with heels and flats. They show the same cut cropped to ankle length in Oct style guide.

    4. Never mind---I was referring to the wide leg wool pant! I also have the full length and was confusing them.

  2. Some really great popbacks and price reductions this morning, it's like they read my mind! We have an event next month where I really want to wear pants and a matching jacket—I especially wanted to wear my wide leg wool pants from last holiday (might have them cropped to ankle length). I have a black schoolboy blazer but it's a little boxy on me. Just ordered a Ludlow blazer and a 120s wool blazer. The fabrics might not be perfect with the pants but for my purposes, close enough, and both are longer than the schoolboy so I'm so excited I can pull this outfit together and forget about it! Also ordered a white Rhodes blazer in linen. I needed to replace a white blazer and this should be perfect. (Sad the chunky collection cable sweater was removed from my cart before I had the cnance to check out!)

  3. If you snagged an Avery Tweed popback like I did (or catch one in the next few days), FYI they are eligible for 30% off with YESPLEASE. When Lauren posted about a popback last night, I did a mock checkout to see if the code would apply. CS was super nice about the (super nice!) price adjustment. Hope this helps someone!

    1. Wendy, yes I should have mentioned that! I tried the code too and was surprised to see it worked. Glad you got your price adjustment!

  4. I love that I scored on some J.Crew items at TJ Maxx today! I know several other JCAs have reported finding items and I was thrilled to find a few items today. I rarely go to TJ Maxx for non-household items since I don't have a lot of luck but some digging today unearthed a black cashmere cardigan for $30 and the navy wool Regent blazer with white satin lapel for $50. I also spotted the Frankie booties for $50. I didn't have time for more poking around but I'll be keeping TJ Maxx in my rotation from now on if these are the kinds of finds to be had...

    1. Oh yeah! Those are great deals. I rarely stop into TJ, but this makes me reconsider.

    2. WOW! Maybe I should swing by there today! I've been poking around there occasionally since JCAs reported seeing stuff there, but only have ever seen one dress and one pair of shoes. Will have another go - those were some great finds Anne!

  5. Ordered a few items during the Gilt promo for JC Factory back in mid-September. Shortly afterwards, I received one of those 'We wish we had enough' emails and I was bummed to learn one of my items had sold out. I stalked the site for a popback and earlier this week managed to catch one -- I didn't think it would ship, but lo and hold, it shipped the next day! I called CS & asked whether they would consider applying the original sale price to my order and they did! JC has one of the best CS groups around. So pleased!
