  2. Banana Republic has a limited line called Piece&Co. It's silk and cotton pieces with distinctive prints. Not inexpensive for my budget but comparable to the J. Crew regular price level. I also picked up from them a cotton skirt with a ruffle on the front, very similar to the ruffle skirt in striped poplin. And a pair of slim cropped cotton pants with a fun print.

Definitely worth checking out the late summer selection.

    1. Oh, I think fellow JCA Cass was talking about this line a little while ago -- i checked it out and the prints looked distinct and gorgeous! Seemed worthy of the price point (I didn't buy anything, mostly b/c I think the styles weren't what I was looking for at the time.)

  4. How would you feel about this? I purchased a pair of jeans online at WhiteHouse Black market (have never shopped there before). The package arrived today and I opened excitedly. It was the wrong pair of jeans. They are completely sold out online so I called a local store and asked them to hold a pair.

I get to the store and they say someone in the warehouse switched the SKU tag on my jeans. Then they said the jeans looked worn and they can't accept the return. As a consumer, I haven't worn the jeans, I wanted another pair, and they won't accept the return.

The store manager claims she will be fired if she accepts the return. I call customer service and am on hold for 15+ minutes. The store manager calls her customer service and they tell her to accept the jeans as a return.

She then says I must purchase the new correct pair and she will give me a 10% discount. I just said this is the reason retailers are dying. No one will put up with this type of customer service!
